  • 17th: SMART Quiz Night in the Community Centre in Defoe Road at 7.30pm. Tickets per table for are £30 (i.e. £5 per person). There will be drinks, lovely light snacks – and surprises! This is in aid of the Old Church appeal, so please support but also come and exercise those grey cells! To book your table for this winter warmer -or join a group on one of our ‘meet your neighbour’ tables- just email artsmanager@smartn16.org saying if you want a table or a place.

  • 19th: Lent bookstall

  • 23rd: Lent Course begins at 8pm (NCR) based on the Church Urban Fund’s  “Are we washing our hands of England’s poor?” Read more about it. The course continues over the next 4 weeks. Sign up on the list at the back of church.

  • 25th: Sunday School leaders meet at 10.30am (NCR).

  • 26th: Lent bookstall

  • 28th: Lent lunches start

March

  • 11th: London Fairtrade Diocese service of celebration and thanksgiving at St. Pauls Cathedral at 6pm. Contact Nina Tweddle on ngtweddle@hotmail.com

  • 18th: Jonathan’s last Sunday with us. There will be a farewell lunch for him and Alison in the New Church Rooms after the 11am service to which everyone is warmly invited.

  • 21st: Jonathan is consecrated as Suffragan Bishop of Croydon at Southwark Cathedral at 11am.

  • Pilgrimage to the Holy Land . Jonathan is co-leading an Affirming Catholicism- sponsored visit with Rt. Revd Richard Llewellin, former Bishop of Dover and St. Germans. Click through for details.
