St Mary's: Enriching Faith

Being a Christian is more than just coming to Church on Sundays. Our faith needs to deepen and mature. At St. Mary's there are opportunities for this to happen.

There are Enquirers' Groups for those who wish to find out more about the faith. For those wanting to explore further there are courses about Christianity which can lead to confirmation if desired.

The parish organises weekend retreats, which offer the chance to get away from the rush of city life and to be able to pray and reflect in silence. There are also periodic quiet days for the same purpose.

Pilgrimages are made to shrines to remind us that all of our life is a journey towards God.

House Groups meet at various times of the year to explore and discuss particular themes - maybe social issues, Bible study or prayer. There are other courses on prayer with the Parish, and the opportunity to take part in courses outside the Parish.

There is a bookstall at the back of Church with a wide range of Christian literature.
