Our
main Sunday services at St Mary’s
are normally the 9.30am
All Age Eucharist and the 11am Sung Eucharist.

Families
are particularly welcome at the
9.30am
All Age Eucharist. Do sit as near to the front as you can.
There you will find musical instruments to be
played during the service, toys, books and mats for children (and
adults) to sit on. If this is your first time at
St Mary’s, do introduce yourself to us or the clergy
over tea or coffee
after the service.

SMART
are holding a Quiz Night in the Community
Centre in Defoe Road on Friday February 17th at
7.30pm, to which everyone is warmly invited. Tickets
per table for are £30 (i.e. £5 per person). There
will be drinks, lovely light snacks – and surprises!
All this is in aid of the Old Church appeal, so please
support but also come and exercise those grey cells!

Our
Lent Course this year is based on the
Church Urban Fund’s
“Are we washing our hands of England’s
poor?” and begins on Tuesday 23rd February at 8pm in
the NCR and over the next 4 following weeks. Please
sign up on the list if you would like to join us. If
you would like to meet on another evening, please
indicate on the same list.

Fancy
a pilgrimage to the Holy Land? Jonathan is co-leading an
Affirming Catholicism- sponsored visit with Rt. Revd
Richard Llewellin, former Bishop of Dover and St. Germans,
in November 2012. Leaflets/ booking forms available at the
back or from Parish office.

There
will be a Lent bookstall
with books for all ages, after the 9.30 and 11am services
on 19th and 26th February run by Eona Bell.

There
is a London Fairtrade
Diocese service of celebration and thanksgiving
at St. Pauls Cathedral on Sunday 11th March at 6.00pm for
anyone who may wish to go. Please reply to Nina Tweddle on

Evensong
Group meets in the NCR on Monday 6th February
at 7.30pm.

Our
Parish Retreat
this year at Pleshey has been postponed as 18th will
be Jonathan's last Sunday at St. Mary's.

We
welcome next Sunday into the church at the 11am service
for Baptism, Violet Margaret Mary Crooke.

If anyone has any Palm
Crosses left over from last Easter, could you
kindly hand them to Andrew Wildridge who will require
them for Ash Wednesday this year, on 22nd February.
