We try to: * Encourage social contact amongst the congregation, so that all who come to St Mary's find it a place of friendship * Organise a full and varied programme of social events appealing to as wide a range of tastes as possible * Get as many people involved in these as possible Members of the congregation have recently * Held a Third World Buffet with the proceeds going to Christian Aid * Laid on a day trip to Amberley, Sussex * Cooked a lunch for more than a hundred people at the Patronal Lunch in September * Organised an American Thanksgiving evening with an American food theme and a quiz * Held a Valentine soiree compered by the Rector
