Station II: Jesus Receives the Cross
		We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you: because by your holy Cross you have redeemed the world. Consider how Jesus, in making this journey with the Cross on his shoulders, thought of us, and offered for us to his Father the death he was about to undergo. Jesus, grant me by the power of your Cross cheerfully to face the trials of my calling as a Christian and to be ready to take up my cross and follow. O, that blessed one, grief-laden, Blessed Mother, blessed Maiden, Mother of the all-holy One; O that silent, ceaseless mourning, O those dim eyes, never turning From that wondrous, suffering Son.
