Second Chance Cafe
Open to all, the Second Chance Cafe operates from St Mary’s Centre (behind the big church) on Thursdays from 12pm - 2pm and Fridays from 11am - 2pm.
Please note that the Cafe will be closed during August, so there will be no Cafe running after August 1st.
From September onwards, the Cafe will only run on Fridays from 11am - 2pm (not Thursdays).
Conscious of food wastage, we give a ‘second chance’ to local unwanted fruit and veg, with our enthusiastic team of cooks working creatively to create delicious soups each week. And it’s all offered on a pay-as-you-feel basis - something or nothing.
Second Chance Cafe is made possible thanks to the generous support of several local businesses - Nature N16, Workshop Coffee, Evergreen & Outrageous, Sapid Coffee, Seasons and Blossoms, Embas Local, Growing Communities, The Dusty Knuckle, Lily’s Fruit & Veg Refill, Spence Bakery, Know & Love.
The cafe is run by an active volunteer team of over 50 members. If you’d like to volunteer or donate money or a homemade cake you can find out more on the cafe website.
